"Wait"

wait.
that's what they all say
wait. the perfect man is waiting
"where? when? on what day?"
"God's timing!"
I'm tired of waiting.

"be a Proverbs 31 woman"
okay, what does that mean?
be passionate, know your place
love the Lord, devoted partner
wise and patient
kind and caring
but I have a sharp tongue
how do I tame it?
wait, is all they say

"defend your faith"
okay, but how?
to whom?
I don't want to be
those so called Christians shoving so called love
down other's throats
they say "no hate like Christian love"
but REAL love is what Christianity is all about!
"the world hated Me before it hated you" Jesus said
I want to love my brothers and sisters in Christ
but how do I lead them to Him without hurting them?

"fear no one but the Lord"
easier said than done
I was raised to not trust
those I don't know
how do I witness His glory if I'm afraid of people?
no reply.

wait, is all they say

waiting is boring
waiting is slow
waiting is scary
waiting is pain
waiting is love

"love is hate"
love is patient
"love is love"
love is pure
love is patient
love is kind
love knows no evil
but there's no hate like Christian love, as they say
how do I say that's wrong, not real?
